The RanchHand rules

RanchHand is a marketplace that connects people looking for ranch and Western agricultural work with ranches, farms and outfits that need hands. RanchHand is not an employer, staffing agency or labour broker and is not a party to any work agreement made between members.

Members are responsible for agreeing their own terms, pay, schedule, site requirements and any employment or contractor relationship, and for complying with the laws that apply where the work happens.

Membership is billed through a secure payment provider on the schedule shown at checkout and may be cancelled at any time from your dashboard. Prices are set by RanchHand and may vary by region and currency.

Accounts may be suspended or removed for fraud, harassment, misrepresentation of skills or credentials, review manipulation, or any behaviour that puts other members at risk.

RanchHand collects the information you provide to build your profile, run the marketplace and process your membership. You control which contact details are visible to other members through your profile privacy settings.

Your phone number and email are hidden from other members unless you choose to show them. Outfits see your public RanchHand Profile: name, location area, skills, availability, experience, rating and completed jobs.

RanchHand does not store raw payment card details. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider using their secure checkout and customer portal.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time.

Show up when you say you will. Cancellations happen, but tell the other side early.

Describe skills and experience honestly. Do not claim tickets, licences or certifications you do not hold.

Reviews are attributed and must reflect a real working experience. No anonymous reviews, no retaliation reviews, no paid reviews.

No harassment, discrimination or unsafe demands. Report anything that crosses the line — every profile and job has a report option.

RanchHand does not verify skills, certifications or licences unless a verification badge is shown on the profile, and verification badges are issued only by RanchHand administrators after review.

Hand Match is an indicator to help members find potentially relevant work or hands. It does not guarantee suitability, competence, safety or availability.

Members are responsible for site safety, personal protective equipment, insurance, and any legal requirements for the work being performed.

Meet in safe conditions, confirm job details before travelling, and do not perform work you are not equipped or trained to do.
